Four painters, friends and family arrived Friday afternoon at Rancho La Bellota in June. Several of us spent the mornings painting while others rode horses, then we all enjoyed a vineyard tour of Tres Mujeres Winery, La Casa Vieja, and L.A. Cetto. We returned to the ranch and made plans to watch the moonrise on the evening of the Summer Solstice, while enjoying a “solstice sangria”.
The open studio weekend had something for everyone, and we all agreed it was just too short of a visit. Rina, Janice, Paula and I took advantage of the beautiful weather to continue painting Sunday morning before heading to the border after lunch. We left plotting our return – a sure sign of a good time, and we’re all looking forward to the Fall workshop season!
